Young woman (19) dies in car accident on A-7 motorway in Marbella

The day got off to a tragic start in Marbella on Tuesday when a 19-year-old woman was killed in a road accident. The accident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, at around 2:10 am, on the A-7 motorway, which runs along the Costa del Sol. According to information from the 112 emergency services coordination centre, the vehicle left the road at kilometre 1,043. Eyewitnesses who alerted the emergency services reported that the vehicle had gone off the bend. Firefighters from Marbella, the Guardia Civil traffic police and the emergency medical services quickly arrived at the scene. Unfortunately, the emergency services could do nothing for the victim of the car accident. Her death was confirmed at the scene. The two other occupants of the vehicle, whose identities have not been released, were examined and treated by the medical teams. Fortunately, hospitalisation was not necessary. The exact cause of the accident is still being investigated by the authorities. The incident once again highlights the importance of driving carefully, especially at night on roads with many bends.
