Benidorm installs underground pumping system in Elche Park

Benidorm City Council will soon start installing an underground pumping system in Elche Park, worth 130,000 euros. The pumping system will collect rainwater from Almendros and Maravall streets and channel it to Alcalde José Such and the park. The work will be completed before Easter. The new system will prevent flooding and traffic problems during heavy rain. Councillor José Ramón González de Zárate emphasises that the installation will not inconvenience park users. In addition, it will relieve the sewage pumping system, which will solve both traffic restrictions and sewage problems in Elche Park.
