Firefighters rescue mountain climbers in the Sierra de Bernia, in Altea

In the Sierra de Bernia, in Altea, the fire brigade rescued two disoriented mountain climbers. According to sources from the Provincial Consortium, two people who were doing abseiling in the area got into trouble when it got dark. They lost their way and became disoriented. The rescue group of the Provincial Fire Consortium of Alicante was alerted. A team of two people and a 961 vehicle from the rescue group arrived at the scene of the incident.

Coordinates

Using their mobile phone, the climbers managed to send the coordinates of their location. This allowed the rescue group to go to the area immediately. The intervention ended without incident. Finally, the two climbers returned unharmed from the Sierra de Bernia to the point where their vehicle was waiting for them. It is not known what caused the duo to become disoriented.
