Alicante-Elche Airport launches direct flights to Moldova

Starting in November, Alicante-Elche Airport will offer a direct connection to Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. Previously, airlines SkyUp and FlyOne operated this route only during the high season. Now, they will continue flights throughout the winter as well. Tickets are already on sale through March 2026.

Four weekly flights between Alicante and Moldova

Both airlines will jointly operate four flights per week:

• SkyUp operates flights on Mondays and Fridays.

• FlyOne operates flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

SkyUp flight schedule (Monday & Friday)

• From Chisinau to Alicante:

  • Monday: departure at 1:20 PM – arrival at 4:20 PM

  • Friday: departure at 7:00 AM – arrival at 10:00 AM

• From Alicante to Chisinau:

  • Monday: departure at 5:20 PM – arrival at 10:00 PM

  • Friday: departure at 11:00 AM – arrival at 3:40 PM

FlyOne flight schedule (Wednesday & Saturday)

• From Chisinau to Alicante: departure around 7:00 AM – arrival at 9:30 AM

• From Alicante to Chisinau: departure at 10:30 AM – arrival at 3:00 PM

Moldova is becoming increasingly accessible from the Costa Blanca

The new winter service highlights the growing importance of Eastern European destinations for the Costa Blanca. During a recent aviation fair, the regional tourism board also held talks with Romania and Bulgaria regarding new routes.

New opportunities for travelers and tourism

With a population of less than 2.5 million, Moldova remains relatively undiscovered. However, the country offers stunning natural landscapes, beautiful Orthodox cathedrals, and excellent wines. Thanks to the new flights, this destination is now much more accessible for travelers from Spain.
