Javea approves Equality Plan and strengthens commitment to equality

Javea City Council has taken an important step forward in its commitment to gender equality by approving its Internal Equality Plan.

This is a document that, in addition to meeting legal obligations, reflects the municipal council’s commitment to the well-being of its employees. Since 2022, private companies with fewer than 50 employees must have an equality plan.

Discrimination-free work environment

This amendment also has implications for government services, which have started implementing the plans with the aim of ensuring an equal and discrimination-free working environment.

In addition to complying with current regulations, this plan enables the council to opt for subsidies and assistance that will stimulate the growth of the municipality.
