Spain bids farewell to Rafael Nadal with tribute

Since Tuesday, a huge banner with an image of Rafael Nadal has been displayed on the Estadio Ciudad de Málaga. He thanks the city for choosing him to end his career here. This gigantic poster is visible from the highway and is located opposite the entrance to the Palacio de los Deportes Martín Carpena. It is a 15-meter-high image of Nadal and the inscription “Gracias”. Nadal will play his last professional tournament here from November 19 to 24. This will be the final of the Davis Cup against the Netherlands.

The announcement of Nadal’s retirement in Málaga has attracted worldwide attention and has significant promotional value for the city and the Costa del Sol, which are using this opportunity to strengthen their brand. In addition to the impressive banner, the campaign will also be distributed via public transport, social media and various locations around the sports complex. This will be done with the hashtag #GraciasRafa. With this, Málaga expresses its gratitude for the privilege of sharing Nadal’s last sporting moments.
