Spain: discounts up to 50 percent on AP-7 Costa del Sol

The Spanish government has announced plans to reduce toll prices on the AP-7 with discounts of between 10% and 50%. This is the important highway along the Costa del Sol. This measure is intended to reduce traffic pressure on the congested A-7 and improve mobility in the region.

The AP-7, also known as the Autopista del Sol, is a toll road that runs from Málaga to Guadiaro and parallel to the busy A-7. The A-7 has been experiencing serious traffic congestion for some time now. This is especially the case during the summer months and holidays. This leads to frustration among both locals and tourists.

According to the plans, frequent users of the AP-7, such as commuters and students, will be eligible for the highest discounts. The initiative comes in response to long-standing requests from local authorities, businesses and citizens to reduce or even eliminate tolls, similar to measures taken in other regions of Spain.
