Cleaning company FCC has been awarded a new contract by the Fuengirola City Council. The city council has once again chosen the street cleaning and waste collection service following a public tender procedure. The contract is for a period of four years, with the possibility of renewal. The agreement involves a budget of more than 11 million euros per year. In total, the annual budget has been increased by more than four million euros. <\/p>\n
According to Mayor Ana Mula, due to “the need to adapt to the population growth that the municipality has experienced and the temporary increase that it experiences during the summer months”. FCC has been providing the service in the municipality since 2020. The increase in the budget is due, among other things, to a specialized fleet. It concerns more than 70 vehicles, many of which are new. These vehicles were acquired only a few months ago after an investment of seven million euros from the 2022 surplus. <\/p>\n
The new contract also includes green and trash and debris collection among its usual functions.
