The Spanish government has not extended the period of free public transport and discounts on train tickets. The program previously offered a 100% discount on multi-journey cards when making a minimum number of journeys. Travellers who have already purchased their cards can continue to use them for the time being. From now on, single train tickets range in price from <strong>\u20ac1.80 to \u20ac3.60<\/strong>, depending on the distance. This also applies to Avant and Medium-distance trains, the fares for which have been reset by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.renfe.com\">Renfe<\/a>. However, there are still discount options for regular commuters. Multi-journey cards can be discounted up to <strong>50%<\/strong> for regular use. The measure of free public transport in Spain was intended to make travel affordable. It was also a way to encourage sustainable transport. This has attracted many travellers in recent months. The end of this scheme means that users will now have to return to paying regular fares.
