This was decided by the Local Government Council (Junta de Gobierno Local) on Friday 21 March. This decision affects the tender for 613 homes under the Generalitat Valenciana\u2019s Plan Vive.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"647\" data-end=\"684\">Change of the zoning plan<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"686\" data-end=\"1176\">Federico Alarc\u00f3n, Secretary of the Local Government Council, explained that the reason for the extension of the deadline is the change in the zoning plan of the &#8220;La Hoya&#8221; area. In this plan, a maximum height of five floors is now allowed (ground floor plus four floors). This change is a departure from the previous rules of the zoning plan. This allows more flexibility in the design of the homes and allows the municipality to better realize its wishes.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1178\" data-end=\"1224\">Extension provides more time for adjustment<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1226\" data-end=\"1727\">Originally, the deadline for submitting bids was set to end on March 26. Therefore, Torrevieja City Council decided to extend the deadline by one month. This will give all bidders time to adapt their proposals to the new regulations. The extension will ensure that everyone can prepare as best as possible. In this way, bidders can review their plans and better adapt them to the changed conditions. This will contribute to a better final result for the construction of social housing.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1729\" data-end=\"1767\">Strengthening the flexible approach<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1769\" data-end=\"2179\">The extension of the deadline for the construction of social housing in <a href=\"https:\/\/torrevieja.es\/es\">Torrevieja <\/a>offers bidders more flexibility and creativity. They can now better respond to the changed building regulations. The changed rules make it possible to design and build the homes with more variety. This is an important step for the municipality of Torrevieja.
