Sometimes wellness comes in a smoothie, sometimes in a walk \u2014 and sometimes, it\u2019s simply in a handful of leaves.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Since I started growing my own herbs, I notice it every day: <span class=\"s1\">a little green on your plate can make a world of difference<\/span>. Not just for your body, but for your mood too. <\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">My balcony garden isn\u2019t exactly the kind of green oasis you\u2019d envy on Instagram. It\u2019s more like a humble row of pots where the parsley outperforms the coriander, and the mint consistently outgrows everything \u2014 including my schedule. But honestly? Having fresh herbs at home <span class=\"s1\">makes all the difference<\/span>.  <\/p>\n<h4><b>Small leaves, big impact<\/b><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In Spain, herbs are everywhere: in the market stalls of Moraira, in the fresh fish soup from my neighbor, and in the herbal tea I sip in the evening when it\u2019s just cool enough to almost need a sweater on the terrace. <\/span>It\u2019s woven into the food culture, into the seasons \u2014 and now, into my own balcony. My little garden isn\u2019t some standalone project; it\u2019s my personal take on something that\u2019s been second nature here for generations. <\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Sure, they add flavor \u2014 but they offer so much more than that.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Rosemary<\/b><\/span> supports focus and digestion.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Basil<\/b><\/span> has anti-inflammatory properties and a calming effect.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Mint<\/b><\/span> supports your breathing and helps relieve headaches.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Thyme<\/b><\/span> is a natural immune booster.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\">And no, you don\u2019t need to become an herbalist. But if you let fresh herbs simmer, stew, or simply flow with your daily rhythm, you\u2019ll start to feel it in your body: <span class=\"s1\"><b>this stuff really works<\/b><\/span>. <\/p>\n<h4><b>Harvesting = happiness<\/b><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p3\">My favorite part? That moment when you pick the leaves straight from the plant. A quick sniff, a rinse under the tap, and then \u2014 onto your omelet, into your salad, or in your lemon water.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">I don\u2019t know exactly why, but there\u2019s something comforting about it. <span class=\"s1\"><b>It\u2019s self-care you can touch.<\/b><\/span> No yoga session or morning routine required \u2014 just a bit of basil from your own balcony.<\/p>\n<h4><b>My current favorite? Lemon balm. <\/b><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p3\">I recently started growing lemon balm. It\u2019s fresh, slightly herbal, and perfect for a cup of tea at the end of the day. They say it\u2019s calming \u2014 and it really is. I notice I\u2019m less in my head when I curl up on the couch in the evening with a mug of it.   <\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Sometimes I think: healthy living isn\u2019t something you have to do. It\u2019s something that grows. In pots. On your balcony.
