On Friday, October 3rd, Casa Pepa<\/em> in Ondara opens its doors for an afternoon dedicated to tasting, discovering and connecting. From 1:00 to 5:00 pm, the historic finca will transform into a lively space where gastronomy, art and lifestyle come together. <\/p>\n

A place with history<\/h4>\n

Casa Pepa <\/em>is not just any venue. What once started as a modest village restaurant has grown into an icon of Mediterranean cuisine, with a reputation reaching far beyond the Costa Blanca. Today Casa Pepa<\/a> is part of Grupo BonAmb<\/em>, yet the soul of the house \u2013 its warm hospitality and love for local products \u2013 remains very much alive. <\/p>\n

Tasting and discovering<\/h4>\n

During El Encuentro<\/em>, five wineries will present their wines, ready to be explored one glass at a time. The Casa Pepa team will prepare delicious bites, while local producers showcase vegan cheeses, nuts and honey. It\u2019s the perfect chance to discover new flavors, meet the makers and perhaps take home a new favorite. <\/p>\n

Art and lifestyle<\/h4>\n

Beyond food and wine, El Encuentro<\/em> also celebrates creativity. Visitors will be able to view paintings and jewelry \u2013 and, more importantly, hear the stories of the people behind them. Ik ben Eva van der Meer, een Nederlandse met een enorme liefde voor de Spaanse kust. Wat ooit begon als een vakantieromance met dit prachtige land, is inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een levenslange relatie. Nu woon ik in Moraira, een idyllisch dorpje aan de Costa Blanca, waar ik elke dag het beste van twee werelden combineer: de Nederlandse nuchterheid en de Spaanse passie. De cultuur hier blijft me fascineren. Van bruisende feesten zoals Las Fallas en Feria de Abril tot de verborgen tradities in kleine dorpjes waar toeristen zelden komen \u2013 ik wil alles ontdekken \u00e9n delen. Mijn favoriete bezigheid? Met een glas rode wijn op een zonnig terras luisteren naar de verhalen van locals en deze later opschrijven. Voor mij is Spanje meer dan een plek om te wonen; het is een eindeloze bron van inspiratie.
