In Benidorm, the city council has announced<\/a> stricter measures against the use of electric scooters in pedestrian areas. According to the Councillor for Public Safety, new warning signs will soon be placed at busy pedestrian areas. This includes the old town and the Levante boulevard. This action is a response to increasing reports of violations and complaints from residents regarding electric scooters.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The new signs will be installed in areas including the Alameda, Paseo de la Carretera, Tom\u00e1s Ortu\u00f1o and the first line of Levante beach. At the same time, local police will carry out additional checks in these areas.
