Melody to represent Spain at Eurovision Song Contest

Melody won the final of the Benidorm Fest on February 1, 2025 with her song “Esa diva”. This means she will represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. The Sevillian singer, known for her hit “El baile del gorila”, received the most points from the public (80) and the jury (70), which made her the winner. In the final she faced seven other acts, including J Kbello and Daniela Blasco. With “Esa diva”, Melody brings a message of equality and empowerment. Her participation in Eurovision is the realization of a long-cherished dream, after she finished second in the selection in 2009 with “Amante de la luna”. The final was broadcast live on La 1 of Televisión Española and attracted a large audience. Melody is now preparing for her performance at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, where she hopes to convey her powerful message to an international audience.
