Leading hotel chain Servigroup is taking a new step in the tourism sector by opening its first apartment complex in Benidorm in June 2025. Located in the Poniente area, the complex will consist of ten Mediterranean apartments with sea views, equipped with leisure facilities and a swimming pool.
The apartments are built on the site of a former hostel and are aimed at tourists who want to stay longer and are looking for more flexibility than a traditional hotel offers. According to Alejandro Benito, communications director of Servigroup, this project is an important milestone for the chain. “With these apartments, we are responding to the growing demand for alternative forms of accommodation. It is a pilot project with which we want to broaden our horizons,” he says.
Benidorm is known as a pioneer in tourism, and this new offer underlines that reputation. The apartment complex offers tourists a combination of freedom and comfort, while responding to the trend of longer stays and more independence during holidays.
Servigroup has indicated that the success of this project will be decisive for future expansions to other Spanish coastal resorts such as Castellón, Murcia and Almería. The company emphasizes that this first step is a test case to investigate how apartments compare to their traditional hotel offer.
The apartment project will be officially presented at the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) 2025 in Madrid. This event attracts thousands of tourism professionals every year and offers a platform for innovation and new concepts.
The new complex is seen as a boost for tourism in Benidorm, which has been one of the most popular destinations on the Costa Blanca for decades. Local entrepreneurs and residents are looking with interest at the possible effects of this project on the tourist market and the image of the city. With this step, Servigroup confirms its role as one of the most progressive players in the Spanish hotel industry. The coming months will show how this new form of accommodation is received by tourists and what influence it will have on the future of tourism in Benidorm.
