Alicante, Spain – Three radio stations with a focus on expats, tourists and winterers on the Spanish coast are now working together under one brand: The Sound Of The Costa. The launch of the new website, www.thesoundofthecosta.com, strengthens this collaboration. The aim is to serve a wide audience and offer companies new advertising opportunities.

A strong foundation: three radio stations with experience

The three radio stations together form a complete network along the Spanish coast. Each station has its own history and region. The fact that the affiliated radio stations have been active for many years proves their experience, right to exist and the trust that listeners and advertisers have in these radio stations. Costa Blanca Radio serves the northern part of the Costa Blanca. The signal reaches from Denia to Alicante. The history of the transmitter goes back to 1996. The station has been operating under its current name since 2012. Costa Blanca Radio was founded by Dutch radio pioneers Erik de Zwart and Rick van Velthuysen. The music format consists of FeelGood Classic Hits. In addition, the station focuses on expats and winter residents with specific programs. Radio Costa, founded in 2010 by Patrick Jouretz, is active in the southern part of the Costa Blanca. Jouretz has gained experience at Flemish radio stations, including Radio Contact. In addition to the radio station, he runs two magazines for expats, in Dutch and French. Since the introduction of DAB+, Radio Costa reaches not only Torrevieja, but also Benidorm and surrounding areas in the north, and carries the signal to Cartagena in the south. FeelGood Radio started in 2019 and operates from Malaga. Its founder, Marc Collenteur, focuses on the regions around Malaga and Marbella. The station reaches these areas through two FM frequencies. The music format, similar to the other stations, consists of FeelGood Classic Hits. The stations share a common vision. They want to connect their audience with music and programs that are relevant to expats, tourists and winter residents.

Collaboration The Sound Of The Costa: One joint brand

The collaboration under The Sound Of The Costa marks a new step in the development of the three radio stations. The joint brand ensures a recognizable identity. At the same time, there is still room for regional differences and specific target groups. “This collaboration is more than just a strategic choice,” says Marc Collenteur. “It is a shared vision to offer our listeners an even better experience and to guarantee advertisers a unique, broad reach.”

Launch of the website

With the launch of the website, www.thesoundofthecosta.com, a platform is created that goes beyond just radio. In addition to information about the radio stations, visitors will also find lifestyle articles, regional news and practical tips for expats and tourists. The new website not only serves as an information point for listeners, but also offers opportunities for advertisers. Through the platform, companies can reach a broad and diverse audience with radio commercials, online branded content and cross-media campaigns. With this collaboration and the introduction of the new website, the three stations want to further strengthen their position in the media landscape of the Spanish coast.

A step forward in the media landscape

The Sound Of The Costa unites three radio stations into one powerful platform. The joint website gives listeners and advertisers access to a broad and integrated offer. More information is available on the website: www.thesoundofthecosta.com.
